Illustrations designed for an editorial design project entitled “Kitsch Magazine’. The concept for the illustrations was based on a “one man circus”. The style used for the magazine includes bright contrasting colours, over expressionist contrasts, overbearing patterns, playful compositions and humorous images.

By incorporating typography in a style that breaks the rules of how typography is set, contributes to the
“Kitschness” of the overall layout. Random combinations of colours and images were influenced by the hideous
costumes, over zealous rides and tricks of their trade.
